Time Equipment Company modernized the parking system for Norton Building in Seattle, WA.
New owners of the historic Norton Building were interested in the latest technology for the parking garage to service their customers. Constructed in 1958, the Norton Building was one of the first skyscrapers built in Seattle after the Great Depression. This building is the clearest manifestation of International Style modernism in downtown Seattle and the first curtain-wall skyscraper in the city. The Norton Building was designated as a city landmark by the Seattle City Council in 2009.
The Norton Building has 224 parking spaces for monthly and daily tenants.
Time Equipment Company installed new TIBA X-60 terminals. In addition, the installation of a CPS-60 Pay-on-Foot Terminal allows customers the ability to park hourly. In addition, a door access unit for after-hour roll grill access was installed. License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras were installed to speed up entry and exit for monthly tenants. New Magnetic Gates were added to complete the installation.
The Norton Building, 801 2nd Ave in Seattle, is a 21-story historic office building in the heart of Seattle owned by the Hines Interests Limited Partnership. This prime location, just blocks from the Seattle Ferry Terminal, has sweeping views of Seattle and the Puget Sound region.
