Time Equipment Company completed Phase 2 of the parking system for Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA.
Overlake Hospital Medical Center, an award-winning hospital on the Eastside, wanted to update the technology and functionality of its current parking system several years ago. They started with Garage 1, its underground garage, where Time Equipment Company was selected to complete the project. Next on the list was Garage 3, a 600-plus stall parking structure on campus. Then, COVID hit, and Phase 2 had to wait. This year, the Garage 3 project was placed back on the project list as the existing system in Garage 3 equipment was failing. Because of the experience and professionalism shown with the previous installation, Time Equipment was given the green light to complete Phase 2. One major advantage of using Time Equipment Company and TIBA Parking Equipment was combining the two garages using cloud-based software and the new TIBA SPARK Suite Platform, making it more efficient and user-friendly to manage. Web-based validation was also included in the phase II implementation.
Time Equipment Company installed a new TIBA MP-60 series entry terminals and two TIBA SW-60 exit stations using barcode technology. All terminals will include VoIP intercom modules for remote assistance that a customer service representative can answer. A CPS-60 Credit Card Pay Station was placed in the hospital beside the parking elevators, allowing an easy payment alternative before exiting the garage.
New employee entry/exit card reader terminals and intercoms were installed on the opposite side of the garage to improve customer service and facilitate access to employee monthly parking clients. In addition, five Magnetic articulating arm parking gates were installed.
Time Equipment Company utilized the TIBA SPARK Suite Software Platform. It is a cloud-based web environment that allows parking operators and owners to control, manage, and monitor all their facilities from a central location. SPARK utilizes the successes of SmartPark and expands the user experience in a streamlined and accessible way.
