A Washington State Court of Appeals threw out Initiative 124 in its entirety, holding that it unconstitutionally contains multiple unrelated topics.
I-124, which provides a number of protections and benefits for hotel workers, was passed by Seattle voters in November 2016.
The city has the option of appealing this ruling to the Supreme Court.
